How I wear it: Boyfriend Jeans

Hi guys,

It's been so long and I'm so sorry again :(

I've been working on a new blogazine with my friend and I spent so much time working on it that I didn't have much time to write for my own blog. If you can read Vietnamese, please check it out: ON 21 Blog. I wanted to do an English version as well but I guess I will need a bit more time to work on it before it can go live for you guys to read. I will keep you posted though.

*

(you can read the Vietnamese version and support our ON 21 Blog here: http://on21blog.blogspot.com/2014/01/mac-boyfriend-jeans-sao-cho-ep.html)

I have a huge crush on boyfriend jeans. It's been a while but I didn't dare to wear them because I'm super petite and boyfriend jeans normally make your legs look bigger and shorter. I finally decided to be brave and purchase a pair of boyfriend jeans from ZARA last month. And I'm glad I did because they look pretty good, as long as I only wear them with heels (any types of heels from ankle strap, court shoes to heeled boots).

I put together 5 looks for the boyfriend jeans feature on ON 21 Blog a few weeks ago and we planned to do a photoshoot but haven't get around it so I thought I could just use Polyvore to put the outfits together and share them with you guys here first. The thing about these looks is that they can be worn by petite girls (go for heeled brogues instead of flats for the last look) xD

The exact pair that I bought happens to be sold out so here is a very similar pair:

And here is how I would wear them :)

1. H&M blouse £14.99 - 2. ZARA coat £99.99 - 3. ZARA boots £49.99 - 4. 2b necklace $9.99

1. UNIQLO jumper £19.90 - 2. ZARA bag £19.99 - 3. ZARA heels (sold out, similar here £22.50) - 4. ASOS watch £22 - 5. Rimmel London lipstick 111 £5.49

1. Topshop jacket (sold out, similar here £49) - 2. New Look beanie £6.99 - 3. New Look top £7.99 - 4. Nine West heels $39.99 - 5. ASOS rings £8

1. ZARA cardigan £12.99 - 2. H&M shirt £6.99 - 3. Aldo heels £6.99 - 4. Windsor earrings $6.90

How I wear it: Leopard Ankle Boots

Hi there! Again, I'm a horrible blogger. I said I was back and I didn't post anything in the last 5 days. I've been lazy (again). The weather in Hanoi makes me so sleepy all the time and since I have no mean of transportations I just stay at home staring at the laptop all days and end up sleeping for a large portion of the day. Anyway, I just got a new scooter today and my dad will bring home his laptop tomorrow so I can go out to a coffee shop or somewhere outside my house to work on the blog. No more napping!

I was quite stuck coming up with a new topic for this post. Luckily, a lovely girl on Instagram asked me if I knew where to find flat leopard boots and I thought I should do a post on how to wear them. Leopard is major right now and I don't think lots of people dare to wear leopard printed boots.

I found these amazing pair of leopard printed ankle boots from Christian Louboutin today:

But, they are way too expensive for an unemployed university graduate like me so I kept searching and finally found these wonderful pair from River Island. My size is sadly out of stock but they still have size 4-7 which, I think, are worn by most people. However if your size is 3, 8 or 9, I strongly recommend you have a look at your local River Island store or on eBay.

I reckon the easiest way to wear a leopard printed item, or any printed item for that matter, is to wear it with black and white. I'd love to wear this pair of boots with a simple short (mid-thigh length) white shift dress or shirt dress with a chunky black cardigan, a long necklace and a few simple rings (I prefer gold for this outfit but I think silver is not a bad choice either).

Apart from black and white, I think leopard goes really well with bright or neon yellow. Even with a little pop of neon yellow like a statement necklace or neon yellow nails would bring a lot of playfulness to your outfit. If you choose to wear leopard with neon yellow, remember to wear them with simple single coloured pieces like black or grey. Of course this just how I'm gonna wear them, if you choose to go bolder, you have to be really careful not to turn yourself into a parrot =)

1. Pull & Bear jeans £19.99, 2. H&M sweatshirt £9.99, 3. Forever New necklace $39.99, 4. River Island bag £39.99

How I wear it: A White Broderie Anglaise Embroidered Skirt

I've been obsessed with broderie anglaise embroidery lately. Since I haven't been able to find a white embroidered skirt that looks exactly like I imagined in my head, I actually started to think about giving up and looking for white embroidered fabric to make my own, that's before I see this skirt from New Look
The skirt is a true beauty and I love everything about it! Its price is reasonable too: £16.99. There is no information about the skirt's length on the website so I guess I should come to the store to try it on. I just spend £34.00 on my new contact lenses so I won't be able to buy it anytime soon though :(

1. Monki Top £12 - 2. ASOS Clutch £25 - 3. Forever 21 Wedges £27.90 - 4. Accessorize Ring Set £8

I'm running out of ideas on what to write for this section! If you guys have any requests: what you want me to write about, what items you would like me to put in this section, etc., please comment below to let me know. You can always send me an email as well!

Thank you for reading and hope you enjoy the post!

How I wear it: A Floral Playsuit (Pinafore / Dungarees)

I remember the last time I wore dungarees was when I was 10 - 11 years old (2001-2002). They were full-length dungarees made from denim, that either my mom or my uncle and aunt bought me when I was 9. I used to wear them to school in the winter with my white shirt under a crochet waistcoat or a knitted jumper.

I saw that dungarees again last summer when my mom open my old wardrobe (thank you, mom for not throwing out anything ever!) and now that dungarees are back on trend, I think I'll shorten them and, if they're too tight for me, give them to my little sister - who, by the way, is 12 and would wear anything her big sister says *blushing*

I saw these 2 super cute playsuits (pinafore and dungarees above) when I visited Topshop last week and was torn between the two of them as they're both so pretty. My boyfriend told me that he liked the cream one better and since I already had so many black items in my closet (and black is not very summery), I finally decided to get the cream pinafore today.

1. Quiz T-shirt £10.99; 2. ASOS Flats £25; 3. Orelia Bracelet £10; 4. Warehouse Ring Stack £6

Would you buy the same pinafore as I do or would you prefer another one? Leave a comment below to let me know =)

How I wear it: A black leather jacket

I was requested by one of my friend to do a blog post on how to wear a leather jacket yesterday. To be honest, I haven't been able to find any leather jacket that looks good on me. They might fit me well but they always look funny on me somehow and my boyfriend always ended up laughing at me and teasing me.

I saw this leather-look jacket on Topshop's website today and fell in love with it instantly. It comes in 3 size ranges: regular, tall and petite. The price is £58 (£52.2 if you have a valid student card), which is quite reasonable for a leather-look jacket and it is rated very high on the website. I'm seriously considering ordering it home to try it on (goodbye my plan to stop shopping for a month =.=)

1. H&M Dress £12.99; 2. New Look shoes £12.99; 3. Finesse Earrings £25 (on sale, £20)

1. H&M Shirt £14.99; 2. River Island T-shirt £15; 3. H&M Jeans £9.99; 4. Oasis Flats £35 (on sale, £20)
1. H&M Shirt £7.99 (on sale, £3.99); 2. H&M Shorts £12.99; 3. ASOS Flat Shoes £35 (on sale, £21)

How I wear it: A printed blazer

I love almost everything printed, especially trousers, dresses or jacket with bold prints like Mary Katrantzou's. I'm currently searching for a perfect printed suit (more like matching blazer and trousers) and unfortunately haven't got any luck yet.

I visited H&M website yesterday to check out their jewellery section when I came across an amazing printed blazer (£29.99, here).

I haven't decided whether to buy it or not since H&M stuffs generally don't fit me well but this is how I would wear it:
1. H&M Blouse £12.99; 2. H&M Trousers £14.99; 3. Faith Court Shoes £45 (on sale, £18); 4. Red Herring Watch £20
1. Vila Knit Top £22; 2. River Island Blouse £20; 3. River Island Skirt £25; 4. ZARA Sandals £39.99

1. New Look Necklace £10; 2. H&M Dress £24.99; 3. ASOS Heels £32

1. Oasis Top £22; 2. H&M Jeans £9.99; 3. H&M Rings £2.99; 4. ASOS Heels £45

How I wear it: A grey sweatshirt

I found this really simple sweatshirt from H&M while I was online shopping today. It comes in 5 colours: grey, blue, light pink, pink and green. It's really easy to wear and since it's on sale (down to £3.99 from £12.99), you can purchase one of each colour if you like.

I'll definitely purchase the grey one if they sell it in-store as hm.com delivery charge is way to high. I planned to put together a few looks with the same sweatshirt for the blog and since I was playing with hm.com Dressing Room, I ended up using a lot of H&M items in these looks. The price of the featured items for this section (How would I wear...?) are often kept under £30 so you guys can purchase them. Anyway, below are how I would wear the sweatshirt =)

1. Topshop Leather Jacket £30, 2. H&M Jeans £14.99, 3. Boohoo Wedges £12; 4. New Look Necklace £7.99

1. H&M Jacket £29.99; 2. H&M Skirt £24.99; 3. H&M Sandals £12.99 (heeled version £29.99); 4. Pull & Bear Ring £7.99

1. Pull & Bear Necklace £9.99; 2. A|wear Skirt £20; 3. ASOS Sandals £45

Thank you for reading and hope you enjoy the post!
